*Note: Transport Canada minimums for Private Pilot License eligibility is 17 hours dual and 12 hours solo flight training and 45 hours total. These are just licensing minimums. Most people will not be ready to pass their flight test with only these minimums. Extra training is required to shape a confident and SAFE pilot that will retain their good flying habits long after their private pilot flight test. The Canadian industry average to reach competency to pass a private pilot flight test is 75 hours of flight training. Depending on your study habits, frequency of lessons, and aptitude, you may be on either side of the industry average.
